The entire visit was pleasant, all staff were very caring. Dr. Fish was very polite and was able to address all my issues with my left foot. I explained that I had seen two other podiatrists but the ingrown toenails kept coming back and it was painful. In my case, I had heart surgery and I was worried about bleeding. Dr. Fish explained everything he was going to do and his treatment would stop the ingrown nails from coming back. Being a diabetic it’s good to know that Dr. Fish is a good doctor, and works hard to help his patients heal.

When I first went to see Dr VanderGulik, I was in such excruciating pain. I could not put any pressure on my foot without crying. I tried to walk but could not. My husband got me a wheelchair to take me anywhere. I started seeing Dr VanderGulik and he checked my heel, massaged it and gave me exercises to do at home. On the third visit, he requested that I stay off my feet for a few weeks and this really helped. Now, I can walk with no pain at all. Dr. VanderGulik’s office got me in asap due to the severity of an infected ingrown toenail that an ER didn’t fix properly several days earlier.
Once I arrived, everyone was very friendly, caring and made me feel like I mattered.
Once the nurse got me to a room, Dr. VanderGulik came in and was very professional. He looked at my infected toe & immediately explained what needed to happen, to keep this from happening again. I was a little overwhelmed because I have anxiety but he & his nurse were very reassuring and understanding given my situation and quickly put me at ease.
I must say the entire experience was outstanding and I didn’t feel any pain during the procedure or afterwards!
He and his nurse explained very thoroughly how to manage/treat once I was at home. They also called in the correct antibiotics and pain/anti-inflammatory medications.
He set up a follow appointment for two weeks and I was on my way.
If you have any foot issues and are thinking about going to an ER vs seeing a podiatrist…Call and see DR. IAN VANDERGULIK! Take it from someone who learned the hard way…You will be thankful you have the outstanding and knowledgeable

I really like the overall that the staff are very good with my dad every time he goes to his appointment very good customer service and Dr shay is a really go doctor if u have any vascular veins problems he will recommend u to a good specialist in San Antonio he referred my dad to a really good vascular in San Antonio Texas and I’m very pleased with how my dad‘s procedures came out very happy .when I call the office for any answers or information that I need they really good about responding back I really recommend this place for any new patients.

From the time I called the office to after my appointment the staff was kind, professional and patient (as I tend to have a lot of question and am a bit needy). Dr. Fish was professional, explained what was going on with my foot, answered all my questions and explained what I needed to do now. My follow-up appointment was easy to make and I look forward to seeing Dr. Fish and learn more ways to help my foot heal.
